Step back in time and experience the charming Rio de Janeiro of yesteryear on this tour that takes you to some of the city's most iconic landmarks. Your adventure begins with a Tram car ride up to the historic neighborhood of Santa Teresa. This bohemian enclave is known for its winding cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and lively art scene. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you stroll through this picturesque neighborhood, taking in the sights and sounds of a bygone era.

Next, you'll visit a park with an art gallery built around the ruins of a mansion. This hidden gem is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city, where you can enjoy a moment of tranquility and admire the art on display. The park's history is fascinating, and you'll learn about its past as you explore its grounds.

No visit to Rio is complete without a stop at the world-famous Escadaria Selarón, also known as the 'Selaron Steps.' These colorful, mosaic-covered steps are the work of Chilean-born artist Jorge Selarón, who considered them "my tribute to the Brazilian people." The steps have become a symbol of Rio and are a must-see attraction for visitors.

Another highlight of the tour is the Passeio Público, the oldest public park in Brazil and one of the oldest in the Americas. This beautiful park is a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and offers a glimpse into Rio's history. You'll learn about the park's origins and see the beautiful flora and fauna that call it home.

As you make your way to Cinelândia, you'll pass by the site of the former Monroe Palace, which served as the home of Brazil's Senate from the 1930s to 1960s. The palace was an important part of Rio's history and is still remembered by locals today.

Finally, you'll end your tour with a visit to the Confeitaria Colombo, an elegant turn-of-the-century coffeehouse located in the heart of downtown Rio de Janeiro. This landmark establishment is one of the city's most important and is considered one of the 10 most beautiful cafés in the world. You'll be transported back in time as you sip your coffee and admire the ornate decor, which has remained largely unchanged since the café opened its doors over a century ago. It's the perfect end to a day spent exploring Rio's rich history and culture
