South of the city of Rio is one of Brazil's most beautiful seaside destinations: Angra dos Reis. Because of its gorgeous beaches, outstanding bayside location and breathtaking environs, Angra has become a magnet for tourism – not only statewide but also on a national and even international scale. With more than 360 islands and 2,000 white sandy beaches bordered by primary lush sub-tropical Atlantic Forest, Angra dos Reis offers great coastal and boating experiences. On this activity, you will board a traditional Brazilian schooner to explore the islands and countless beaches, with stops for swimming and diving and a delicious buffet lunch.  Your day begins with a hotel pick up between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Once aboard, you will settle in for a scenic bus ride south out of the city along the highly scenic Rio-Santos coastal highway towards Angra dos Reis! Upon arrival, step aboard your authentic Brazilian Schooner for an enjoyable day of sailing, swimming, island hopping and more.

Fun fact: Did you know that after its discovery, in 1502, the island served as a hideout for pirates and adventurers who sheltered among the forests in search of food, wood, and water? On some beaches, such as Aventureiro, Julia, Lopes Mendes, and Provetá, it is possible to find marks made by the natives who also inhabited the city. After your afternoon of sailing in paradise, welcome back to your waiting transportation and enjoy a comfortable ride back to your hotel. Once we have received your reservation we will contact you with all of your tour details! Have a good ride!
