Go back to a forgotten time of tram cars rides and elegant cafés. Your tour starts with a Tram car ride up to quaint Santa Teresa before visiting a park with an art gallery built around the ruins of a mansion. Then a Rio must-see! Escadaria Selarón, also known as the 'Selaron Steps,' is a set of world-famous steps and are the work of Chilean-born artist Jorge Selarón, as "my tribute to the Brazilian people." Next: The Passeio Público, a public park and also the oldest public park in Brazil. Actually, one of the oldest in the Americas. When you get to Cinelândia you will see the site of the former Monroe Palace, which served as home to Brazil's Senate from the 1930s to 1960s. Everyone's favorite last stop is always the Confeitaria Colombo, an elegant turn of the century coffeehouse located in the heart of downtown Rio de Janeiro. It is one of city's most important landmark establishments and one of the 10 most beautiful cafés in the world.
Please Note: Confeitaria Colombo is closed Sundays. Pick up locations are from registered hotels in the Leme, Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon areas of Rio. Unfortunately, we do not pick up from private homes, Airbnb locations or hostels. Please contact us for the nearest hotel pick up convenient to your location. Hotel pickups are between 7-8 a.m. depending on your whereabouts. Please check your ticket for an approximate time. Pick up times can vary due to traffic conditions.
